What does Sankashti Chaturthi mean?

“Sankashti” means “deliverance during difficult times,” and “Chaturthi” refers to the fourth day of the lunar month.

Sankashti Chaturthi is celebrated to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha and to overcome the obstacles in life. It is believed that by observing the fast and performing puja on this day, one can please Lord Ganesha and receive his blessings for success, prosperity, and happiness.

This day is considered significant for spiritual growth and to seek the grace of the divine.
